Dermaplaning Facial
One of the most popular hair-removal treatments today is dermaplaning, which is performed using a scalpel to manually exfoliate dead skin cells from the face. Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation method that requires the use of a sterile surgical scalpel to gently shave the top layer of the skin, the stratum corneum, dead skin layer, and vellus hair, aka peach fuzz. This treatment results in ultra-smooth, fresh, and brighter skin by removing that dead layer of skin and hair from the face. The skin is evened out, which promotes cell metabolism, helping new skin come to the surface.

WHO IS THIS TREATMENT MOST SUITED FOR?
Depending on your skin type and how fast your hair grows, dermaplaning will last you anywhere from 6-8 weeks before requiring further treatment.
WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE
Firstly we will chat and perform a consultation with you. We then go on to perform a pre-cleanse to remove any make-up/oils/products. This is followed by a deep cleanse to remove any impurities from the skin. If further exfoliation is required, this would be performed at this stage. We then apply a balm to help the blade glide. After the extraction, we apply a serum and mask to help tighten, tone and make the skin glow. We then finish the treatment with an ice globe lymphatic drainage ritual to help refresh, tighten and firm the skin. The treatment is finished with spf to protect the skin and we advise that factor 50 spf is used everyday. The dermaplaning procedure is painless and relaxing, however, on very rare occasions small grazes can occur. The full treatment should take about 45 minutes.
AFTERCARE
Avoid direct sun exposure for 3 days. Avoid extreme heat for 3 days. Do not use scrubs or other exfoliators for 1 week. Avoid chlorine for 1 week. Apply serums and moisturisers.

Before treatments, please let your skincare specialist know if you are on any medication (topical and/ or oral), have any medical conditions, or are being treated by a physician for any conditions. Let your skincare specialist know if you have been diagnosed with cold sores or herpes simplex or if you keloid scar. No shaving, laser treatment, peels, waxing, or aggressive exfoliations one week prior to treatments. You should wait 48 hours before or after to receive any anti-wrinkle injections /dermal fillers to receive treatments.
