The Technical Bit: Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the fluids in the eyes and joints. It acts as a cushion and lubricant in the joints and other tissues. How it helps: Tight Junction Proteins/Adherens Junction Proteins: Tight junctions are important for the barrier function of the skin & the cellular elasticity The cohesion of keratinocytes in the outer layers of the skin (stratum corneum & stratum granulosum) is an important factor that represents a second barrier function of the skin and therefore protection against mechanical stress.

Cohesion of keratinocytes is mainly arranged by special intercellular protein complexes such as desmosomes, Adherens Junctions (AJs), and Tight Junctions (TJs). Hyaluronic Acid improves the protein expression of tight junction proteins & adherens junction proteins in a dose dependant manner improves the balance of ion homeostasis, protects the viable layers of the skin, contributes to a healthier, younger, tender looking skin.

Hyaluronic Acid vs Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid: We use Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, not just Hyaluronic acid. This makes a big difference. The molecular size is smaller, and enables a better penetration. The Hydrolyzed ingredient is significantly more expensive than the non Hydrolyzed. When manufacturers claim percentage inclusion, the higher is not automatically the better. Skin has a saturation point that no longer accepts absorption, and the ingredient sits on top of the skin, possibly leaving a film that can clump, and rub off.

Our inclusion level is five times the standard level. Basically we utilize the maximum recommended effective dosage. Our 0.5% of Hydrolyzed is far more effective than 0.5% of non hydrolyzed.

  • ingredients & what they do:

Aqua Dissolves thicker ingredients and facilitates the making of lighter products that spread evenly and can be rinsed off with water.

Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Shea butter can treat sunburns, cuts, rashes, and more. Research has found that shea butter helps stimulate the production of collagen within the skin; which is synonymous with younger-looking skin. This, combined with Vitamin A and Vitamin E, helps skin stay supple, soft,

Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Almond) Oil, Almond oil has been used for centuries to soothe the skin and treat minor wounds and cuts. It has been used in ancient Chinese and Ayurvedic practices to treat skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. More than soothing dry skin, almond oil can improve complexion and skin tone.

Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, Olea europaea fruit oil contains large amounts of antioxidant, vitamin and fatty acids making it particularly nourishing and moisturising for those with skin that is prone to dryness. It is beneficial for dry skin because of its fatty acid content, some of which comes from the emollient squalene.

Glyceryl Stearate, Its moisturising properties help skin look and feel softer and smoother. It also forms a barrier on skin, helping prevent water loss. It has great moisturising properties. It traps moisture on the skin and hair to prevent dehydration and damage.

Cetearyl Alcohol, Although some alcohols for skin can definitely be drying and irritating, fatty alcohols like cetearyl alcohol are the opposite. In fact, they help nourish and moisturize the skin and help give cosmetics their consistency.

Glycerin, Glycerin is a humectant, a type of moisturisng agent that pulls water into the outer layer of your skin from deeper levels of your skin and the air. In skin care products, glycerin is commonly used with occlusives, another type of moisturising agent, to trap the moisture it draws into the skin.

Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Extract, This commonly used plant extract offers antioxidant qualities to defend skin from environmental stressors. It also soothes. replenishes, repairs, hydrates, moisturises, softens the skin. It is also antibacterial and helps to kill bacterial on the skin and protect it.

Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid is an amazing skincare ingredient, employed for its superior moisturising capabilities. Its smaller molecular size enables deep skin penetration, attracting and retaining moisture at a cellular level. Hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid reinforces the natural immune system, stimulating the release of specific antibacterial peptides and boosting the cellular repair. IIncreases the skins hydration and own moisture levels. Fills wrinkles from within. Rejuvenates the skin. Reduces deep wrinkles significantly.

Lecithin - Lecithin's beneficial components include phospholipids (which convey skin-restoring benefits), fatty acids and triglycerides that can help replenish skin. Lecithin can also be used to encapsulate a wide range of active ingredients allowing for a better dermal delivery system. Lecithin serves many purposes in skin care formulas including as a softening emollient, hydration booster, and emulsifier as this can dive deep into the skin and work at deeper levels giving better results.

Tocopheryl Acetate (VITAMIN E) Alpha-tocopheryl acetate (ATA) is a specific form of vitamin E that’s often found in skin care products and dietary supplements. It’s also known as tocopheryl acetate, tocopherol acetate, or vitamin E acetate. Vitamin E is known for its antioxidant properties. Antioxidants help to protect your body from damaging compounds called free radicals. Normally, free radicals form when your body converts food into energy. However, free radicals can also come from UV light, cigarette smoke, and air pollution. VITAMIN C - Created by the combination of multipul ingredients Anti oxidant, fights free radical damage, slows down the ageing process. Evens skin tone, reduces blemishes, improves pigmentation, Brightens skin

Ethyl Ascorbic Acid; Ethyl ascorbic acid is a powerful antioxidant to fight free radicals and protect the skin from environmental stressors to prevent premature aging. Ethyl ascorbic acid increases the production of amino acids in the skin, expediting skin cell turnover and boosting collagen production so skin feels smoother and plumper. It helps with the skins functioning, making it less prone to premature aging, spots and environmental damage.

VITAMIN A (RETINYL PALMITATE) Counteracts signs of aging and forces skin cell regeneration thereby freshening the skins appearance. Works like a retinol but gentler on the skin. Regular use of retinyl palmitate will help the cells on the epidermis (the outermost layer of your skin) rapidly rejuvenate, causing older cells to die off to make way for the newer, healthier cell growth underneath. The result: smoother, more radiant skin with more even skin tone

Benzyl Alcohol; Besides having antioxidant effects, benzyl alcohol doesn't have any specific benefits for your skin itself, but rather helps to optimise this formula so that it can better perform for your skin. Benzoic Acid; Benefits of benzoic acid in skincare include anti-aging, soothing, and moisturising properties. In addition, a major derivative of benzoic acid, known as phenolic veratric acid, contains high concentrations of antioxidants to help neutralize free-radicals present in the environment.

DehydroaceticAcid, An Organic preservative compound used to keep the product fresh. Xanthan Gum, Used as a thickening agent, texture enhancer, and to stabilise the emulsion, So that the oils and water ingredients do not separate.

Phenoxyehanol, 0.01% used to hold the PH level

Ethylhexylglycerin, Ethylhexylglycerin is a synthetic skin-softening agent. Ethylhexylglycerin is used as a preservative and carrierthat boosts the efficacy of other preservatives such as phenoxyethanol. It has been shown to have mild humectant properties leading to improved skin hydration without a sticky feel.

Parfum Naturally fragranced to make the product smell nice
