HOW LONG DOES SEMI PERMANENT MAKE UP LAST?

Typically, results last between 12 to 36 months, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and the specific treatment. Oily skin types may see quicker fading, while drier skin tends to retain pigment longer. Annual touch-ups are recommended to keep your look fresh and defined.

IS THIS PAINFUL?

Your Comfort is our top priority and we will try and make to treatment as comfortable as possible for you. . We recommend using a high-grade topical numbing cream before and during the procedure to keep discomfort to a minimum. Most clients describe the sensation as a light scratching or tickling—nothing more than mildly uncomfortable.

DO I NEED TO DO ANYTHING BEFORE I HAVE TREATMENT?

Before having any Semi Permanent Make up, we would provide the following advice:

 

  • Avoid using retinols, exfoliants, serums or creams that maybe drying or irritating to the skin, this includes salicylic acids and benzoyl peroxides. If these type of products are within your normal skincare routine discontinue use at least 5-7 days prior to your appointment.

  • Avoid any aggressive skin treatments before your treatment, including Accutane (for at least 6 months)

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure, sunburn or sunbeds for at least 2 weeks before treatment.

  • Drink plenty of water on the day of your treatment, stay hydrated, your skin will recover quicker.

  • Before arriving for your treatment make sure you have eaten.

  • Stop wearing fake tanning products at least 2 weeks before your treatment.

  • If you regularly wax, you must have waited at least 7 days since the last wax on the treatment area as to not irritate the skin.

  • If you regularly shave, you can shave on the day before treatment but only if it’s an area you would normally shave.

  • Stop taking supplements such as Vitamin E or fish oils before treatment but only if they are not prescribed by a GP.

  • Anti-inflammatories can act as blood thinner, causing bruising and should be stopped 4 days before treatment, if you’re taking these because they’re are prescribed, please consulate your GP before stopping.

  • Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin for best results.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT, ARE THE RESULTS INSTANT?

Straight after treatment you can expect the following:

  • Redness, swelling and sensitivity of the skin in the area which has been treated up to 48 hours

  • The treated area and surrounding skin may feel hot for up to 48 hours

  • Small scabs may appear within the treated area

  • The skin may itch as the healing process takes place

  • The colour will soften and settle over the following 7–14 days.

  • Full healing can take up to 4 weeks.

  • We provide detailed aftercare instructions and are available for any questions post-treatment.

DO I NEED A TOP UP?

In most cases Yes. Sometimes clients are happy with the initial treatment and do not want any more sessions. Your initial treatment does includes a perfecting session 6–8 weeks later to refine the colour, shape, and ensure pigment retention or any tweaks we need to make.

IS IT SAFE?

Absolutely. We only use medical-grade pigments, sterile tools, and follow strict hygiene protocols. Both Freya and Zoe are fully licensed and insured. Your safety and satisfaction are always our top priorities.

CAN ANYONE BOOK SEMI PERMANENT MAKE UP?

Most people are great candidates! However, if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain medical conditions (like uncontrolled diabetes or skin disorders in the treatment area), it may not be suitable. If unsure, we’re happy to discuss during a private consultation.
